Good News from Village Hall

• On December 15th, the Parks Commission passed by a 7-1 vote revisions to their five-year plan about capital expenditures. The revised plan scheduled 4 paddle courts and a hut at Katherine Legge Memorial Park for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2004.

• On Monday night, January 5, the budget arm of the Village Board approved the Parks plan by a 3-1 vote. A dissenting opinion forced the entire board to consider the matter.

• On Tuesday night, January 6, the Village Board discussed the budget amount of $347,000 for the paddle courts and ultimately approved the Parks capital budget by a 4-3 vote. Isn’t that great news?
