On Monday, July 19, the Parks Commission discussed the status of construction at KLM.
The following evening, the Administration and Community Affairs Committee met to discuss the project budget and a set of changes:
Change order #1 which reduced the Village's liability to All-Bry Construction from $270,500 to $268,105 was approved. This change order was made up of:
- a reduction of the sewer/water allowance by $22,005,
- an increase to add interior trusses at $4,000,
- an increase to cover the sprinkler system at $12,293, and
- an increase to cover plumbing revisions at $3,317.
In addition, the ACA and Village Board approved the purchase of 20 chairs and 4 tables for the warming hut.
Lastly, revisions to the annual fees for passholders were approved.
Trustee Laura Johnson, who had spoken out skeptically at each of the topics related to paddle voted against these revisions, suggesting that a 3X to 4X increase in fees (on top of $165,000 in donations!) was not sufficient.
