It has been reported that on Sunday, January 7, a Hinsdale Police officer entered the paddle hut at KLM while 16 players were on the court. After opening the oversized white cooler and finding it empty, he proceded to prod around inside two paddle bags -- apparently looking for a racquet to join in on the fun.The next day, after one of the witnesses reported this event to another deputy, the bag's owner was told that the patrol officer denied conducting any search.
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
