APTA Regional V President Bill O'Brien added a pair of new tournaments for the 2009-10 seasons to be played in Hinsdale. These events will draw nationally-ranked players to Burns Field, Hinsdale Golf Club, KLM, and Salt Creek Club for two weekends:
Men's Draw - December 12-13, 2009
Women's Draw - February 19-20, 2010
They are different than Hinsdale's own tournaments in that they contribute points that determine national rankings and qualifications for the APTA President's Cup teams.
The HPTA will be soliciting sponsorship and volunteers this fall in order to make Hinsdale's days in the spotlight exciting and memorable.
