Flight A -- Ed Varin, Flight B --Mark Gupta, Flight C -- Michael Lee.
We are currently looking for Captains. The draft will be held Oct 6th at Salt Creek Clubhouse. When you respond to sign up for league also let us know if you want to be a captain. We have a website that makes being a captain pretty easy.

If you don’t play travel, let us know how long you’ve played paddle and if you consider yourself beginner, intermediate or advanced. If you can give us a travel player you consider yourself the same level it will help you get drafted in the correct flight.
Again, there are limited spots available in the league. Anyone responding after the league is filled will be placed on a Sub List. If you can’t commit to regular participation in the league, and want to be on the sub list, let us know.

King Kong Ping-Pong

The Chicago Tribune writes about platform tennis, reporting that some players call the game "King Kong Ping-Pong". Must be something that someone named Biff or Buffy came up with, eh?

Along with that insight, the Trib repeats an oft-spouted claim about Winnetka being the biggest paddle program. We'll see what Factcheck.org has to say about this one day, but in the mean time I'd point out that:

Hinsdale Park District - 8 courts, Winnetka Park District - 6 courts
HPTA - 700 members, Winnetka - 325 members
